Yuba City, California, is located at the junction of the Feather and Yuba Rivers and is a great location with several attractions for outdoor athletes, cultural enthusiasts, and history buffs. Yuba City’s Mediterranean climate allows for year-round recreation and sightseeing. During your vacation, be sure to visit Feather River Boulevard.

Feather River Boulevard

Feather River Boulevard is located 10 miles south of Yuba City and is a favorite location for bird-watching, hiking and horse-riding trails, camping, observing wildlife in their natural habitat and is a hotspot for salmon and striper fishing. Whether visitors rent a boat or bring their own, the beautiful Abbott and O’Connor Lakes are also nearby. Between July 1st through January 31st, hunting season is open for deer, pheasant, rabbit, wild turkey and other species.

Another popular near-river activity is bicycling. The Feather River Levee Bike Trail winds 5 miles along the bank of the river and is an urban, paved trail, that passes beneath two beautiful bridges on its way toward town and detours onto the main street in Downtown. This trail is also jogger-friendly.

Relaxing hiking trails are also available to lead explorers around the Feather River area, back toward Downtown Yuba City and several miles north of town and to Yuba River.
